This is recommended, not required gear for the field study. The only must-have item is a notebook. You can choose whatever type you prefer. The Leuchtturm is a high quality option that doesn’t cost a lot. The paper is bright white and thick so it works well for a lot of different media.

These round, wood-cased pencils have rich colors with an abrasive for easier stumping. They’re excellent for depicting historic facades. $2

This helps while drawing architecture plein air. Airport lines can also be long. Preserve your dignity and don’t sit on the floor. TSA Approved carry-on. Not required. But recommended. Keep it forever. A good $25 investment.
Adapt & Convert
Global travel requires you to adapt to your new context. This helps. It works in all the places we are going: France, Italy and the UK. The most important thing is that its a converter not just an adapter. So it gives your electronics additional protection from getting fried. It also has USB ports.
